Profession of visual communication design or graphic design has long been involved with the business world due to the speeding expansion and globalization of commercial culture, perhaps it's time that practical to question or re-examine the ethical basis of their work. been too long dominated by its use of graphic design to persuade people to buy products that are not needed.
It should be known that millions of people in many developing countries still need clean water, adequate food, medicine or basic education.
things that make matters worse, the products are useless marketed in poor countries. than to help sell products that damage the environment, better graphic designers use their communication skills for the benefit of social and environmental problems.
above all, graphic designers today need to recognize that they have a special responsibility and ability to respond not only to meet client demand, but also to the interests of society intact, graphic design authority to ensure to be directed in such a way that may affect the way people think about issues important issues relating to future life.
although not all graphic designers work with for the sake of ethical decision making, but the profession needs to balance the commercial and social aspects of the profession if still want to be a vital cultural force.
